Jonah has now joined Sam at nursery school. He (mostly) loves it, and we get peace and quiet in the mornings for the first time in over 3 years of living here!

It started raining heavily during the charcoal training at Kahokya, so we moved the drum inside the church and carried on burning - I guess you couldn't do this inside a British church!
Our boys on the very long train journeys between Nairobi and Mombassa on our Kenyan summer holiday. Luckily they enjoyed staring out of the window for hours at a time! Aug 2014.
The long journeys were completely worth it for the fantastic white sand and warm Indian Ocean at Diani Beach, just south of Mombassa in Kenya. The boat in the background was the glass-bottomed boat from which we saw many beautiful fish.

Isaiah setting off on two heavily loaded motorbikes for the steep climb up to Mahango BC to complete the final solar installation, which he did all by himself. Aug 2014. He is planning a further solar project to reach more remote churches after we've gone in 2015.

Isaiah and Natalie worked hard teaching the women of Kalehe how to make charcoal briquettes. A week later we were treated to a delicious chicken feast cooked on their homemade charcoal!
